Result of AGM

At the Botswana Diamonds plc ("Botswana Diamonds") Annual General Meeting ("AGM"), which was held in London earlier today, all resolutions were duly passed.

Highlights of comments made by John Teeling, Chairman, following the formal business of the AGM are summarised below:

   1. Botswana remains the best place in the world to find diamonds.

2. The discovery of macro diamonds on kimberlites AK 21 and AK 22 in the Orapa area is significant. Follow up analyses of core hole samples is ongoing and further announcements will be made as soon as practicable.

3. The geophysical technology of Alrosa have been perfected on known models of kimberlite pipes. This gives the opportunity to interpret sections of rock to a depth of 250-300 metres. This allows us to discover buried pipes under the Kalahari sediments or basalts.

   4. Re-evaluation of kimberlites in the Orapa field is ongoing
   5. In 2017 new areas will be prospected in Orapa, Gope and Khutse kimberlite fields.

6. The kimberlites found in Gope by the Maibwe joint venture need verification drilling. The operating partner in the joint venture, BCL, is currently unable to fund the work. The Company is happy to assist either on its own account or an equity holder in the joint partner Siseko, in which we hold a 51% interest.

7. We are pleased to welcome James Campbell as Managing Director. Based in Johannesburg, James will drive forward the Alrosa and Maibwe joint ventures as well as examining a range of other projects.
