The British pound strengthened against most major currencies in the Asian session on Friday.
The pound rose to 2-day highs of 0.8904 against the euro and 1.2184 against the Swiss franc, from yesterday's closing quotes of 0.8916 and 1.2158, respectively.
Against the yen, the pound advanced to a 2-day high of 127.68 from yesterday's closing value of 127.34.
If the pound extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 0.87 against the euro, 1.26 against the franc and 131.00 against the yen.
