what is your view on the share price now, offered at 0.45p. is it time to jump into the water in your view, i am tempted? what potential share price do u see here?

d4545, on careful inspection it appears the EdS deal is very poor for Rurelec shareholders. That is not to say there is no value in the remaining turbines but given the lack of ability to sell these, it has become a bit of a white elephant (insurance cost of storage). It is also very disappointing that the current stewardship has presided over high admin costs during the period Sterling Trust have been in administration.

Value opportunity has been eroded and now my confidence in the potential disposal of the turbines with a respectable price feels unlikely given the handling of EdS.

Can you post here the remaining assets RUR will have.

Well I have held for a long time, and bought some more.

Apart from any price rise, we'll have a small Divi in due course; and then the value of remainder of Co. (and now clear of debt issues)

So in sum total, worth a lot more than current share price

Just to point out the bid is up 50% since you have been moaning, not just the overall price but the sell price alone.

Ain't that surprising, micro-cap 'meeja' 'P&D' for ya...

Valuation re-rate 1.5 to 2p stands

No money, no honey.

"For your correction it's Sterling Trust "administration report" giving the clues."

I suggest the straws for which you are reaching out are a figment of a fervent imagination. The Administrators of S.T. would be very remiss (and somewhat exposed) if they were to publish insider information concerning or speculating upon RUR's position.

One should not misinterpret 'a spoonful of sugar', there really is nothing in there.

(I accept it seems the ADVFN share issue figure is wrong; apologies.)

The Sterling Trust administrator report from 20th April 2023 makes for most useful reading and provides confirmation their 54% stake in Rurelec holds substantial value. The process of asset realisation beckons.

In summary, the debt free but near out-of-cash Rurelec (awaits debt payment receipts) has a 50% stake in an Argentine gas-powered electricity provider. RUR are owed over $13 million from this JV. Plus RUR has two turbines available for sale worth over $8 million. One could argue there is $21m up for grabs before considering any divestment. Getting any deal may require a temporary bridging loan from parties associated with ST; history indicates they may oblige. It's also clear that ST have blocked ( for many years ) any mechanism for RUR to raise funds via equity.

The court order reduction in capital from 26 August 2020 has granted Rurelec the capability to distribute from Reserves £14.6 million.

At 0.3p the market valuation for Rurelec at $2 million is clearly well-detached from the latest balance sheet values.

Looks like the end game is in play.

Rurelec PLC

("Rurelec" or the "Company")

Partial Debt Repayment

Further to the announcement of 23 October 2020 the Directors of Rurelec PLC (AIM: RUR) confirm that Rurelec have now received a further payment US $480,000 from Patagonia Energy Limited ("PEL") by way of partial repayment of the Amended and Restated Loan Notes (the "Loan Notes").

Since the announcement on 21 November 2019, when the Loan Notes were executed, PEL has received repayments from Energia del Sur, S.A. totalling US $4.4 million. To date PEL has made repayments of US $4.3 million on the Amended and Restated Loan Notes of which Rurelec has received US $3.4 million. The total balance outstanding on the Loan Notes is now approximately US $19.6 million and it is agreed the next payment of US $0.7 million will be shared 80:20 between Rurelec and Basic Energy Limited ("Basic") (the ultimate shareholders of PEL) and then the balance paid 72:28 thereafter (Rurelec:Basic).

The total amount owing to Rurelec is US $14.1million.

There can be no guarantee as to when any further loan repayments will be made and as set out in the announcement of 28 June 2021 the Company's working capital position remains under review pending the resolution of the Argentine spot energy tariffs for electricity. Further updates will be provided in due course.

There is absolutely no reason why the RUR share price is where it is at the moment, hence the below regarding corrupt?/dodgy? market makers may apply to the Rurelec share as well, despite it is about Steppe Cement, but the method is probably similar regarding MM trading conduct:

----

STCM is selling more, STCM is benefiting from currency advantages, STCM is now paying 12% annual dividend, yet you look at the share price now and you get the impression that a person like David Lenigas, among many others, look correct in that MMs DO seem to screw everyone out of their holdings for a fixed amount of time, ie going (naked) short for 2-3 months, and then in the run up to the interims or results later they sell their complete extorted collection at 10%-15%-20%-25% additional margin to traders and investors, ideally on a spike....you know, along with supportive commentary on ADVFN & on the LSE chat site....and then they apparantly go short again for a fixed amount of time when no one is expecting it and then leave everybody incurring losses which increase every day and every week and every month, with no chance to make any return whatsoever...

This really now seems a recurring, annual pattern where the share price gets lower and lower everyday, and many many eventually sell their holdings when MMs seem in their fixed (naked) short period and manipulate the price down regardless.
