High trade volume on ASXToday 07:37

On ASX / EMH, there is highest trade volume in one single day since June 2023 (300k+).

Looking good for another great day 👍

Getting on for 4m daily volume, and its only mid day. We haven't seen volume as high as this since 2020, just before the share price went on a rocket!

Well if the share price does this on relatively little new news, just imagine what on offtake plus funding would mean. Can KC actually deliver after all his bluster

This I think was the original valuation from a while back, and was well reasoned, but dependent on numerous assumptions which will have changed over time. Plenty of negatives, mainly around cost, concern over pricing structure, and interest rates for example. But positives including proof of process, EU support for permitting and funding, and a more thorough/comprehensive DFS process. Net effect on price target probably slightly negative, but not by as much as the market is pricing in. BUT and this is a big caveat, the original valuation was based on production of 30k tonnes pa, whereas many of us still believe the final outcome will be a doubling of this figure - and with high fixed costs and relatively low variable costs this dramatically changes the valuation, and makes the original 184p target conservative. Time will tell...

WH Ireland note today - fair value 184p

"WHI View: Today’s news is final validation, in our view, of the control EMH now has on its lithium chemistry. The testing was done on an effective Run-Of-Mine sample using average grade and mineralogy material. The importance of being able to produce a variety of acceptable, clean lithium chemicals is the wider range of offtakers that EMH can satisfy to broaden the customer base for the battery manufacturers in Europe. We continue to see fair value at 184p using a long-term lithium hydroxide price of $14,000/t and will update our assessment after the publication of the feasibility study, news of which is expected shortly."

As I hold c1m shares at a much higher in price, todays news is welcome but doesn't really move the needle. Offtake and funding commitments are the key and imho the CEO has overplayed his hand. He might get deals done but 18 months too late

PFS not worth the paper it's written on as everything has changed. Don't think the DFS is going to move the share price either. Only two things that matter are getting an offtake with serious $$$ and an improving lithium price. Otherwise the project is never getting built

Peter, you ask reasonable questions and probably apply to many explorers where the share price reacts strongly to discoveries but tend to wane due to dilution, timescale and risks to production. EMH has a lot going for it and when in production could be worth 10x present mcap, but this will depend on how they raise the capex. Personally I believe the malaise in share price is due to boredom/frustration at how long it’s taken to get a DFS out, at least now we have a definitive. I am convinced that the release together with EV permissions will have a dramatic effect on the share price. As you say there are many producers or ones coming online soon but we should not overlook the desire for home supply whether US, China or the EU. Of course this is all personal analysis, good luck….
