It was only two nights ago, when magnificent Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Terminal turned into the most glamorous and seducing location in New York City.  More than three thousand people waited patiently outside at the door of Vanderbilt Hall in the hope of receiving a standing place to attend what was twice listed as one of the most anticipated events at NYFW.

Doors opened at 5pm and the public was treated to Carmen Steffens's presentation of its SS2016 collection, with a catwalk of elegance and sophistication introduced by two of the most recognized super models in the world: Adriana Lima and Toni Garrn. The entire Carmen Steffens show brought a vibrant rhythm and a wonderful energetic feeling. In the audience, the adorable Drew Barrymore applauded with enthusiasm the new trend of the Brazilian maison, seating next to founder and owner Mario Spaniol who commented at the after party: "I am delighted to see Carmen Steffens now also on the top runways of the fashion calendar".

Anna's Loud's  continued the show, a Japan-inspired collection with sophisticated touches of futuristic vision provided by taccessory design by Antonio Urzí. A performance by Metropolitan Opera House soprano Samantha Guevrekian opened the catwalk singing the aria 'Un bel dì vedrem' by Giacomo Puccini, to connect the audience with the vision of Made In Italy excellence revisited in Japanese style. The Italian maison's debut at NYFW was a real triumph, with a generous reaction by the public.  'Bionic arm' model Rebekah Marine was the spokesmodel of the brand.

Alexandra Frida spiced up the magnificent hall with its Asian touches added to the brand's Dutch trend. Geometric and optical games in the fabric combined with an edgy hairstyles which became immediately unforgettable. Top model Shaholly Ayers, featured in a Times Square billboard, walked the runway with a scenic removal of her prosthetic arm, which brought clapping and cheering from public.

Then came India and its outstanding representative brand, Archana Kochhar, which delighted New York with a couture collection inspired by oriental princesses in gold satins, cream silks, and a make up to dream for by MUA Valeria Orlando. Mikaya Warren and wheelchair model Leslie Irby were the spokesmodels for Global Disability inclusion.

The fifth designer on the runway was German architect Andrea Wild from Berlin, who brought to New York her concept of 'ancestral' elegance, made of unstructured leather jackets and savage sobriety, recalling a vision of poetry and hope.  Her casting combined angelic children and strong faces of natural beauty, with the inclusion of former Tom Ford's super model Linda Morand.

And finally she came, with her beauty and her pure, energetic runway approach: model with Down Syndrome Madeline Stuart opened and closed the runway for South African Maison Hendrik Vermeulen, which presented a full collection inspired by the vision of the 'I am Water' foundation. The show opened with a fascinating video screening of deep ocean waters, richly populated by amazing marine species. The audience was trapped into its magical embrace… that than faded into the sophistication of silks, cuts and colors of the outstanding Hendrik Vermeulen collection.

Madeline lit up the catwalk accompanied by two splendid 'jelly fish' models, who rocked body painting art by Einat Dan down the entire length of FTL MODA's 110-foot runway! Maddie  walked it looking around and smiling, as if to prepare the audience for her 'return' on the finale. And her return was indeed magical: she was charming and pleasant, wearing the most splendid couture fully customized for her. She walked waving to the audience, posing with professionalism and then saluting everybody with a remarkable and emotional high five!

"They asked me how I was able to accomplish such a complex production only six months after our previous presentation. I smiled" says FTL MODA producer Ilaria Niccolini. "I left Lincoln center in February promising to myself to establish the new `go-to' platform for brands of excellence to present at NYFW. And I did it. This is not only or mainly because of me… but because of what the world is asking for: change, improvement, recovering values and content for an industry that became emptier and emptier. I believe in the power of cultural and moral content, when a production has the capability to attract the world's attention for even just a few minutes. Our 'angels' are real angels. The smiles of all our talents are what pushes us every time, the elegance that they can pass along, their ability to become one with our marvelous designers is what makes us successful. Madeline, as much as Adriana and Toni, Shaholly and Bekah, Leslie and Mikaya, and all the other ninety models of our production delivered the show. They literally rocked it, and I rejoiced with the entire team."

Make up for the show was once again in the wise and worldwide recognized hands of Einat Dan, while Hair Style was assigned to Cutler Salon, NY, and to Fox and Jane Salon which was responsible for the artistic looks of the supermodels.

Sponsors of the backstage activation and after party were Lavazza, Spinnato, the Sicilian pastry boutique debuting in the US market, Prato Bakery, Chateau D'Esclans, Monster, Essentia Water, Organic Face, Pure Napkins.

Partner of FTL MODA's platform for NYFW was The King's College which, once again, supported the entire casting and fitting and provided almost one hundred volunteers to assist in all areas of the activation.

Producer Ilaria Niccolini Production is particularly indebted to Global Disability Inclusion for its support and its commitment to the #FashionFreeFromConfines campaign.

The FTL MODA platform is now ready for two days of trade and media showroom activation at The Fitzpatrick Manhattan, including special editorials and photo shooting of designers' collections with Madeline Stuart, Shaholly Ayers, Mikaya Warren, Maytee Martinez, and Marissa Simons.
