Whats the lastest with SWD? I'm sure i got a email from magenta one a while back saying that it was not worthwhile pursuing any action.
I had a look in my online trading account and the shares have just dissapeared. Whats our position as far as writing these off is concerned?

I have emailed David Monks today. I was unaware of this possible action. I am sure there are other SWD shareholders who would be interested if they were made aware.

Thanks Kevin for the update i am in the same frame of mind as you being misled by the company. I have lost around £19k so if something comes out good if not at least we have tried. I think people who have bought the shares in SWD should give it a chance nothing to lose i persume.

Just received an interim update from Magenta One.
The guys there have been doing some digging and at this stage, things look interesting - however more information is needed to pull the strings together ;)
Does anybody know when Chapman, a founder of the company, sold out?
Also, anybody know the name of a French registered company that bought in, big time, just before SWD went under?
Cheers, Kelvin

I contacted T D Waterhouse to ask why SWD are still shown on my portfolio holdings. They replied saying that the Registrar has not yet told them formally that the shares have been delisted. Strange that.

before sending off my e-mail, can't seem to find out how km11 got involved in magenta-one or where they intend getting any money from as KPMG have indicated there is to be no return to the shareholders.

Last I heard was the offer from Trafalgar (?) for a pittance per share. As it still lists, is there any sort of back-door opportunity for a shrewd investor to get into a shell company (SWD) without set-up costs and then re-emerge from suspension and change nature of business? Would be cheap as chips.

Would appreciate more info before passing over my very significant holding details to magenta. Would also like it if they didn't sound like a planet out of Battlestar Galactica.

Why is SWD still listed as a suspended stock in the financial papers, surely maintaining a listing costs money?

Some of you may be aware that a couple of us SWD holders, aggrieved by the believed undehanded actions of SWD Management, are trying to seek compensation through Magenta-One - a company that specialises in class actons.
If you would like to be included in the possible pursuit of an action (which should not cost us anything as the company will deduct any of their costs from proceeds receive) then please list the following details below:
ADVFN name, no of shares held, and if you wish, an e-mail contact address.
Andy (Matters) and me (KM11) have been talking with Magenta-One for the past couple of months. No promises of any compensation at this stage but at least it's worth pursuing given it's a no cost option.
Best of luck to you all and fingers crossed.
Kelvin & Andy

In posting 240 ubove, Bartbuild refers to a French company that were given shares. Does anybody know the name of that company?

As an update, I met with Magenta One today. They approached the registrar for shareholder details but were refused by SWD. They therefore need the help of willing shareholders to provide such details.
Bartbuild - if you read this posting, a suggestion is for you to e-mail the holders that you have on your list and ask whether they object for their details to be passed on to Magenta One.
Magenta One are keen to pursue an action and to use this as a test case. They will provide me with an example of their passed success to give sceptical shareholders a feel for what can be achieved.
I accept that most people have moved on and wrtten this one off to experience but it is felt that there is an opportunity here to get something back for us all. This is a no cost action, the company will take a small admin amount from the proceeds they are able to get back.
Cheers, Kelvin
