Posted at 27/5/2010 17:10 by mtness Well that's nice to know - at 5 in the morning I don't think a lot of people are too worried about the list of the threads - The latest news is that there are unconfirmed reports that the top fill has been successful - and BP share price has moved up a bit today - still too early to buy though IMHO |

Posted at 07/11/2007 21:48 by andonis A bit soon in the life of this baby to draw charts but this shows that 20p is possible and could hold there. |
Posted at 16/10/2007 09:24 by dusseldorf PUGUGLY - my sentiments exactly, this will at 30p have a market cap of around £20m a turnover of £14m and loss of £10m = £20m market cap - I think not. I see this closer to 20p given 2nd half is not better than first...probably worth a short at 50p, but until new stock hits the market price may be irratic based on low volume so risky short until then |
Posted at 16/10/2007 08:27 by pugugly Sorry for all holders - I knew business was bad but this is a real disaster for holders. It would appear from the price that the intrinsic value of the business is not what it it was portrayed initially. If only I had shorted !! Cannot se a PI being prepared to pay more than 35p and (imo) if little progress by the next trading statement can see it slipping below the rights price. Any other views? |
Posted at 16/10/2007 07:23 by dusseldorf DAFAD - correct, but I don't think anyone saw a dilution this high at 30p per share coming(!) sorry for any holdersThe fundraising comprises not only institutional placings of new ordinary shares, which will raise #8.5 million (net), but also a strategic investment by The Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. ("FEC") of #2 million (the "Investment"). The institutional placings (the "First Placing" and the "Second Placing", together the "Placings") and the Investment comprise the issue of an aggregate of 36,302,082 new ordinary shares of 2.5 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at 30 pence per share (the "Placing Price"). The Placings will also include an investment of 170,000 new Ordinary Shares by certain members of the board of SPI. The Placings are underwritten by Panmure Gordon. |
Posted at 05/10/2007 10:23 by pugugly Investors Chronicle have taken a long time to catch on:- Sell recommendation today. any views if any value left or another great British product which is lost by lack of Sales Ability and attention to product quality?? Posted at 23/7/2007 18:45 by aim_trader Nice Article From Proactive Investors!"....SPI, as the number two in the fibre laser market, also has a flavour of takeover potential about it, but as the company is still expanding in a fledging market, it would seem a bit too soon to be dreaming of a hefty takeover premium just yet. At the moment, SPI doesn't need any help with its share price anyway; since listing, the shares have performed well, and the company managed to raise an additional £10 million in working capital, at 200 pence per share, in addition to the £12 million raised at 140 pence on the Initial Public Offering ('IPO') and has strong institutional support. As the company is still trading at a loss, profit to earnings ratios are pretty useless at this point, so it is up to the individual to decide what valuation is realistic, given the noteworthy growth potential, yet sizeable market valuation compared to revenues." |
Posted at 09/5/2007 16:27 by markralph very interesting investors presentation with SPIL today.significant contract win today. H2 sales pipeline looks promising. a lot of interested fund manager types asking the right questions. panmure target of 260p (conservative) significant increase in their medical aesthetics sector. catching up/closing the gap between main competition IPG listed on NASDAQ. Very thin market at the mo. |
Posted at 10/1/2007 15:30 by stultissimus Someone has just bought a miserly 12k at way over asking price. OK, the NMS is 500 but the premium they paid is hefty. Maybe they are better informed than me. I would not be surprised to see this company and its share price moving sharply up from these levels as PI's evaluate the true potential and further positive RNS emanates relating to JV's and sales. |
