i had thought a new thread MIGHT mark a new trend for the share price !

on the contrary Butterfield has offloaded 675,000 at 4.09p - why now at such a low price when he could have got 6-8p? At interim, outlook was for an increase in EBITDA but "slightly below market expectations". They made eps at Interim of 0.48 so should make say 0.9 full year - for a p/e of only 4.5. I sold out (see other thread - why two of them ?) due to lack of news and PI interest but tempted back in at 4p. Watching for now.

The share price is far too low; it is priced to go bust, which is very unlikely given that it is making money and the long term talent management business is making steady progress.

Rethink is dog with fleas
They need to sack their CEO and let someone else have a go
Whoever heard of a dynamic recruitment company ever doing well under the stewardship of their ex FD? How is he going to be an inspirational leader and grow the business organically
Hopeless.
I guess he talks a good game with the lawyers, bankers and accountants
Most UK recruiters have doubled their share price over the last year
Rethink's has gone down

Decent enough numbers giving a price/adj EBITDA of around 3-4 and adj P/E of around 6.

Hopefully the 2013 exceptionals, listed as "compromise agreements associated with a board restructure, bank exit fees, office closure costs and termination of a software project" will prove to be exceptional (and they look reasonably one-off to me)...in which case the equity looks cheap if they maintain or improve on this performance.

Future trading and Mr Market will decide where this goes but feels like much more upside than downside for the next few months to me...

big contract with arm of Swiss Re Gp and share price falls. Strange share !

It looks like things are going well at present. Any reasonable level of profit is going to make the share price soar from its current priced to go bust level.

Now back up to around my buying price. There didn't seem to be a particular reason for the fall, following the encouraging long term tone of the statement in September, or this week's rise.

I wondered where the FD picked up stock.

One of my concerns was RTGs inclusion in the T1ps Small Cap Fund and well documented difficulties with the whole Rivington Street empire.

As you will see from the link, it would appear that this fund were keen buyers at the time & one of my concerns were the possibility that a new fund manager may simply jettison the holding.

The new fu d manager are Webb Capital but given that RTG were never a top 10 holding I'm unsure if they are still holding....or could this have been the stock which the FD picked up?

Regards,
GHF

Paleje - I think you're correct. Sector v weak at the moment and likes of HVN failed to make headway despite bullish update.

RTG are on an inexpensive rating if you simply consider them on an EPS / PER basis...BUT...my issue with RTG is that net debt sat at £7.1m (31/12/11) and they keep flagging an acquisitive policy which certainly concerns me, especially when reported cashflow ain't good (£0.05m generated from operating activities 31/12/11). Little room for manoeuvre should the unexpected happen (we remember EMR and Germany legislative changes which wiped 70% off the shareprice).

Also, trade and other receivables amounted to £20.2m at end of 2011, up £5.5m on previous year.

So, on an EV basis they are still cheap but not screamingly so IMHO.

GHF
