Posted at 22/2/2010 13:22 by mangal The graph of FWP on its own is not sufficient to give a proper TA on the share price as you have to take into consideration the fact that there is a discount reduction mechanism in place to control the share price You really have to do a TA on the u/l holdings in conjunction with the FWP-NAV to get a proper idea of where the share price may be heading. |

These shares will be held in treasury. Following this transaction and in conformity with the provisions of the Transparency Directive, the Company hereby notifies the market that: the total number of Ordinary shares held by the Company in treasury following the purchase is 4,556,439 and the total number of Ordinary shares that the Company. The above from the 23/12/09 transaction in own shares. Is it fair to say that they plan to buy up to a maximum of 1 million more of there own shares ? |
Posted at 26/8/2006 18:07 by chopsy Any interest here? After a big decline there seems to be a new level established around 480p. When do you think we might see 600p? I'm also interested in the warrants, though as yet I don't hold any. I hold a small amount of FWP. |
Posted at 26/8/2006 18:05 by chopsy Here is a longer term FWP chart, hope it helps... |
Posted at 29/12/2004 09:48 by timc Issue price is 4.4105p and warrant price is 4.64p, exercisable to July 09.This is my number one holding:Superbly managed, not dependant on the economy, excellent holdings:no GSK or AZN here.Several constituents are growing EPS at 20%+, and appear reasonably valued in comparison with historical valuations for Biotech companies. And if the dollar finally starts to turn, then this will travel very far. |

Posted at 30/4/2003 21:52 by emulti My experience of FWP is bought at 303p and saw it rose to 650p very quickly only to see it drop back down to £3. Now recovering from a tough market against pharma companies. Comments regarding active trading of stocks within the fund are unwarranted in my opinion. You buy into the fund on the description provided. I wanted a wide distribution of low risk pharma/healthcare which is what you get with FWP. If you want a fund that experiments in the bio tech sector then look elsewhere. Of the 4 ITs I have invested in FWP has performed the best of the lot. I expect to see it back up at £6 over the next couple of years. |
Posted at 05/9/2002 20:36 by matthewa rambutan2 - There are plenty of bio IT's with better track records lower mangement fees (FInsbury's are above the average) trading @ 10-20% discounts to NAV. I dont think we are going to see a recovery in the bio sector for a long while so I am simply short FWP. However if you DO think there is a recovery long another Bio @ a big discount and use FWP as a hedge. YoOu cant lose! |

Posted at 04/9/2002 20:38 by rdj20 Below is an analysis for FWP showing the discount it usually trades at to NAV. It is clear that over the last week NAV has fallen and overtaken the fall in the share price producing a premium! Nice little short IMO.FWP Closing NAV Discount/(Premium) 01/08/2002 373 381.45 - 8 02/08/2002 369 372.48 - 3 05/08/2002 359.5 367.12 - 8 06/08/2002 350 357.71 - 8 07/08/2002 356.5 369.01 - 13 08/08/2002 362 378.55 - 17 09/08/2002 367.5 393.82 - 26 12/08/2002 365 400.36 - 35 13/08/2002 366.5 400.27 - 34 14/08/2002 362 391.37 - 29 15/08/2002 368.5 399.62 - 31 16/08/2002 371.5 407.52 - 36 19/08/2002 372.5 403.92 - 31 20/08/2002 373 402.32 - 29 21/08/2002 373 399.2 - 26 22/08/2002 378.5 405.19 - 27 23/08/2002 382.5 415.78 - 33 27/08/2002 386.5 404.64 - 18 28/08/2002 382.5 394.31 - 12 29/08/2002 380.5 387.18 - 7 30/08/2002 380 385.25 - 5 02/09/2002 380 379.97 - (0) 03/09/2002 376.5 375.48 - (1) 04/09/2002 367.5 356.23 - (11) |
