Posted at 01/12/2010 16:27 by dozey1 Yet another company shafting its shareholders, excluding management of course who no doubt will do very nicely one way or another. This price is trumpeted as "...an enterprise value multiple of 9.7x EBITDA for the 12 month period ended 31 August 2010." Who is interested in the past year? We are looking forward, and it's quite possible this give-away price will be reduced to 2x EBITDA in the next three years.Other Engineers should be getting their slide-rules out, done-deal or not IMO. |
Posted at 01/12/2010 08:09 by electronica We were warned.Back in May Chairman McColl told the FT ......... ""On any rational valuation, this company is worth 85p a share," said Mr McColl, who added that the low share price ruled out using the company's paper for acquisitions. "I am not prepared to sell a pound for 40p."" 85p would have been a better start. |
Posted at 24/11/2010 22:40 by electronica ygorCould easily be a multi bagger over the next few years. I like the hints about acquisitions & the P/E would easily support non-dilutive purchases. CPSP - the next WEIR? |
Posted at 24/11/2010 20:01 by ygor705 Results look ok to me given the uncertainties that CPSP has had to live through over the last 18 months. Order book looks good and the contracts keep rolling in (including some from high growth jurisdictions like China). I like the management here and the payment of a divi should be interpreted as a vote of confidence in the future. Not perhaps a ten bagger but I'm happy enough to hold and add if the share price weakness continues. |
Posted at 24/11/2010 12:24 by thorpematt Fully respect the commentry here recently about upcoming results. However, my view was always suspecting that these results would appear moderate. My feelings on CPSP are clear: Great future, management, sector - all positives on forward fundamentals BUT I didn't see that these results would be reflective of that. Results after all are about reporting what HAS happened NOT what WILL happen. Long - term very bullish, short-term I think a little weakness. Timing is everthing I guess. Would've posted this yesterday but hate to post stuff which comes across as negative TBH. |
Posted at 03/11/2010 14:48 by cockneyrebel Here's the bit from the Indy a fortnight ago - actually found it now rather than a reference to it in Sharecast:From the Indy a fortnight ago: "Clyde Process Solutions Our view: Buy Share price: 55p (+1.5p) With a silly name like Clyde Process Solutions, you would think this company made its living from software or technology, where such titles are commonplace. Not so. Clyde is, in fact, an engineering business. It is also, if one looks beyond the name, an interesting investment story. Yesterday, the AIM-listed Clyde cheered investors with news of a £1.2m contract with a major Chinese steel company. Its subsidiary CPS Asia designed and installed the injection system in one of the world's largest blast furnaces for the customer last year. The new contract will see it providing a coal-injection system. The ability to win repeat business like this is significant at a time when orders are generally picking up. And the shares are not pricey, trading on about eight times forecast earnings for the year to February 2011, while yielding just above 1 per cent. Resilient through the downturn, with quite high levels of debt reduction, we think CPS is worth investing in and could yet yield to a bid (rivals have attracted fancy multiples). Buy" CR |
Posted at 26/10/2010 10:12 by cockneyrebel Makes you wonder if CPSP is trying to get the price up ahead of a potential bid as suggested in the Indy might be likely. They are pumping out contract news like no tomorrow and Blackrock increasing their stake significantly. Results Friday, and breaking out today. CR |
Posted at 14/9/2010 11:17 by ed 123 The recent trading statement was positive, and was followed by an announcement of more contract wins. So, why then, has the share price dived?Anyone out there know anything? TIA |
Posted at 26/5/2010 10:15 by divinausa1 more on this link...Low share price hindering Clyde's ambitions "We are frustrated with the share price if you value it on any logical basis. We would, in a private equity type world, easily be looking at 85-90p a share. |
