I have!

My resolution is to pay even less attention to finance House analysts who tell us to buy when they want to sell, and then to sell when they want to buy. Their sole motivation in life is conditioned by one little five letter word - bonus! And as for their predictions, well they mostly forecast a ftse100 figure of 6000/6500 for 2002 didn't they.

My wish is for those two Napoleons Bush and Blair to stop chasing their territorial moonbeams and instead to devote their whole working hours to correcting their countries ailing economies.

And I can't resist a forecast (if only for the laugh it will get on Dec.31, 2003). FTSE to test 3200 during the summer, then struggle back to between 3500 and 4000 by year end. Well, with wars threatened, NHI contributions escalating, more and more of us paying 40% tax, industrial unrest, Coucil Tax escalating, and an Enron trained chancellor trying to fill a bottomless pit caused by reckless over estimation of GDP what else can we expect!

On which cheerful note
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY

Written 2003 on next few cheques to avoid usual error..

Commiserations to all who start the new year kneedeep in floodwater (looking like there might be a few). A prosperous New Year to all.

Many thanks to ADVFN staff. The daily FT and weekly IC have gone as well as the many phone calls to FT's share price lines at 50p/minute!; you've saved me a fortune on what I used to pay for mostly, yesterdays news. I'm surprised that the likes of Pearson Plc haven't tried to buy out the internet competition and close it down? I remember an uncle telling me that someone had invented an everlasting lightbulb, many years ago that was promptly bought out and squashed by the ordinary bulb manufacturers?
Here here to the many positive posts above and love the multilingual ones.
Happy New Year everyone.
