Red Lion sells Yakima Hotel

New owner of Red Lion Hotel Yakima to make significant improvements

Red Lion Hotels Corporation (NYSE:RLH) today announced the company has sold the Red Lion Hotel Yakima in Washington. At closing, the company entered into an agreement with the new owner to retain the hotel as a franchise.

The new owner will invest significantly in the rooms and the exterior of the hotel and will continue to operate it as the Red Lion Hotel Yakima. With 156 guest rooms, the hotel is adjacent to the Yakima Convention Center and just a few minutes from the Yakima SunDome with easy access to 1-82 and the award-winning wineries in Yakima Valley.

Red Lion Hotels Corporation (NYSE:RLH) is a hospitality company primarily engaged in the franchising, ownership and operation of hotels located in ten states and one Canadian province. As of April 11, 2014, the company has 54 hotels system wide.

The Red Lion Hotels and Red Lion Inn & Suites network is comprised of 52 hotels with 9,014 rooms and 457,222 square feet of meeting space. The Leo Hotel Collection is comprised of two hotels with 3,256 rooms and 241,000 square feet of meeting space.

The company also owns and operates an entertainment and event ticket distribution business.
