One of the ways to do this is to pay attention to the stocks touching or creating new 52 weeks high. However, like any other indicator, even this sign needs to be corroborated by various other factors.

Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ:VIA): The stock touched its 52 weeks high price of $57.01 in the current trading session. It is currently trading at $56.75, up 0.78 percent from its previous close of $56.31. The company signed a new home media distribution deal with Warner Bros. Under this deal, both the companies will form a strategic alliance related to about 600 catalog titles related to Paramount film library. Viacom has entered the deal through its Paramount Home Media Distribution unit. The stock has oscillated between $56.20 and $56.99 in the current trading session, whereas it has traded in the range of $45.61 and $57.01 in the past 52 weeks. Viacom Inc. has market capitalization of $28.90 billion and its stock commands Price Earnings ratio of 13.76. The stock has been rated Buy by Nomura. The stock has touched its 52 weeks with good volumes. It has already traded 18K shares, higher than its usual average trading volume of 15.6K shares.

Whole Foods Market (NASDAQ:WFM): The stock had recently been rated Overweight by Piper Jaffray and today it touched its 52 weeks high price of $101.76. The stock is currently at $101.44, up 1.91 percent from its previous close of $99.53. The price rise is supported by 628K shares. The number of shares traded so far fall short of its average daily volume of 1.556 million shares. Whole Foods Market has market capitalization of $18.75 billion and its stock is trading at beta of 0.46.  The company is involved in the business of owning and operating food supermarkets. It specializes in organic food and natural food. Whole Foods Market is based out of Austin in Texas. Its stock has traded in the range of $62.77 and $101.76 in the past 52 weeks whereas its current trading session range stands at $99.87 and $101.76. The company stock has Price Earnings ratio of 42.39. The stock is trading slightly below its short term moving average price of $101.45 and long term moving average price of $101.52.

Tesaro Inc. (NASDAQ:TSRO):  The stock is trading in the range of $14.73 and $16.34 in the current trading session. Tesaro recently announced that its Investigational New Drug (IND) application for TSR-011 has become effective. The company is planning to start the clinical study in the next few months. The company is mainly engaged in the development of oncological therapies. The company is based out of Massachusetts. Tesaro stock has been rated Outperform by BMO Capital Markets. The company stock has traded between $11.05 and $16.34 in the past 52 weeks. Tesaro reported its latest Earnings per Share at -$1.55 and the company’s current market capitalization stands at $421.96 million. The company has traded 6.8K shares so far in the current trading session. Its usual daily volume stands at 36K. The stock is trading above its 20 days moving average price of $15.3 and 50 days moving average price of $15.28.

News Corp. (NASDAQ:NWS): The company recently extended its MLB contract. Under the extended contract the company will televise Major League Baseball until 2021. The company has paid $6.8 billion for this deal. Its stock marked new 52 week high of $25.76 and currently it is trading at $25.54, up 0.75 percent. The stock has exchanged 1.09 million shares so far. Its average daily volume stands at 2.20 million shares. News Corp. stock has beta of 1.50 and its Price Earnings ratio stands at 58.09. The company’s market capitalization stands at $59.88 billion. News Corp. stock is currently trading marginally below its short term 20 days moving average price of $25.55 and long term 50 days moving average price of $25.59. The stock opened at $25.50 and touched its lowest price point for the session at $25.42. It has traded in the range of $15.81 and $25.76 in the past 52 weeks.
