NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts Monday reported a
second-quarter net loss of $4.3 million, or 21 cents a share, which includes an
asset impairment charge of 7 cents a share, as well as a charge of 2 cents a
share related to store closures.
The mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters is for a loss of 4
cents a share and revenue of $124.5 million.
Revenue for the company rose 1.6% to $126.4 million.
In the year-ago period, the company reported a net loss of $600,000, or 3
cents a share, on sales of $124.4 million. The loss in the year-ago period
includes a charge of 3 cents a share related to a legal settlement.
Shares of A.C. Moore closed Friday at $8.24. The stock is down 54% over the
past 52 weeks.
