Cambridge, UK: Abcam plc (AIM: ABC), a global leader in the supply of innovative protein research tools, was today notified that on 23 April 2014, Murray Hennessy, a Director of the Company, purchased 12,800 Ordinary Shares of 0.2p each in the Company at a price of 389.25 pence per share.

Following this transaction, Mr Hennessy's total interest in the Company is 12,800 Ordinary Shares of 0.2p each, representing approximately 0.1% of the Company's issued share capital.
