The Board of Directors of Close Brothers Group plc ("the group" or "Close Brothers") is pleased to announce the appointments of Shonaid Jemmett-Page as an independent non-executive director of the Group and of Elizabeth Lee as an executive director of the Group, both with effect from 1 August, 2012.
Shonaid Jemmett-Page has had extensive executive experience with Unilever plc, and more recently as Chief Operating Officer of CDC Group plc. Shonaid is a chartered accountant and was previously a financial sector audit partner at KPMG. She is currently a non-executive director of GKN plc and APR Energy plc. From 2008 to 2010, she was a non-executive director of Havelock Europa plc.
Elizabeth Lee has been appointed executive director and Group Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs. Elizabeth joined Close Brothers as General Counsel and Company Secretary in September 2009, was previously General Counsel for Europe at Lehman Brothers and prior to that held a number of roles with General Electric's financial services businesses.
There are no further details in relation to either Shonaid Jemmett-Page or Elizabeth Lee which require disclosure pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the Financial Services Authority.
