Chairman to lead Court of the Bank of England Review
The Company announces that Mr. Ian Plenderleith, Chairman, has informed the Company that he will be conducting a review (the "Review") commissioned by the Court of the Bank of England (the "Court") on 21 May 2012.
The Review will cover the provision of Emergency Liquidity Assistance in 2008/9, will begin immediately and the conclusions of the Review will be presented to the Court in October 2012. Details of the Review are given in a News Release issued by the Bank of England on 21 May 2012.
Mr. Ian Plenderleith has informed the Company that he believes that there will be no conflict of interests between his current role as Chairman of the Company and his work in conducting the Review.
