Rio Tinto announces that Chris Lynch, who joined the Boards of Rio Tinto plc and Rio Tinto Limited on 1 September 2011 as a Non-executive director, will become a member of the Audit committee with effect from 1 June 2012.
This announcement is made pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.11R
