Restatement of Reporting Regions
In line with its annual results announcement on 23 November 2011, Compass Group is changing its reporting regions with effect from the results for the 6 months to 31 March 2012, which will be announced on Wednesday 16 May 2012.
They will now be reported as: North America, Europe & Japan and Fast Growing & Emerging. These replace the previous reporting regions of: North America, UK & Ireland, Continental Europe and Rest of the World.
There is no change to the Group level financial statements and operating figures.
A restatement of revenue, operating profit and cash flow data for the new reporting regions is now available to download at http://www.compass-group.com/results-and-reporting-ic.htm. The information has been restated for the years ended 30 September 2010 and 2011 and half years ended 31 March 2010 and 2011.
This change in reporting reflects the way in which we now manage our business, recognising that countries within each region are at similar stages of development with similar characteristics.
We will announce results for the half year ended 31 March 2012 on 16 May 2012.
