NewRiver Retail Limited (AIM: NRR), the UK REIT specialising in value-creating retail property investment and asset management, was informed on 9 September 2011 that on the same day David Lockhart, a director of the Company, acquired an additional 10,000 ordinary shares of no par value ("Ordinary Shares") at 240 pence each via his SIPP. As a result of this transaction David Lockhart is now interested in 1,610,000 Ordinary Shares representing approximately 5.08% of the Company's current issued share capital.
