BAE Systems today holds a briefing for investors in Washington DC. The briefing will describe some of the Group's services, electronics and platforms activities. No market sensitive information will be disclosed as a consequence of the visit. Presentations and the event webcast will be available on the Company's web site (baesystems.com/investors).
Commenting at the start of the briefing on the outlook for the Group, which remains unchanged from the Interim Management Statement issued on 4 May 2011, Ian King, Chief executive says 'We believe our Electronics activities should be capable of sustaining mid-single digit growth over time. We anticipate higher single digit growth being achievable from our evolving Cyber and Intelligence activities. We have a track record of growth from Military Services and continue to see good prospects in that area post the previously announced 2011 step down for the UK SDSR and the reducing US operational tempo. Following reset of our Land business, we would expect to sustain and grow our Platforms activities with the benefit of anticipated higher export sales.'
