LETTER TO: COMPANY ANNOUNCEMENTS OFFICE
I am writing to inform you that on 8 October 2001 the following changes occurred
in the Directors' shareholdings.
Mr Albert J Mucklow (Chairman) sold 16,820 Ordinary shares in A & J Mucklow
Group plc at #1.835. The sale included 8,410 shares held by his wife.
Mr Rupert J Mucklow (Managing Director and Deputy Chairman) bought 11,310
Ordinary shares at #1.835 and 6,874 Ordinary shares at #1.8225. The 6,874
included 1,454 bought by his wife. Mr Rupert Mucklow also sold 5,294 Ordinary
shares at #1.82.
Mr Albert J Mucklow now has a beneficial interest in 725,399 Ordinary shares in
A & J Mucklow Group plc, representing 1.18% of the issued Ordinary share
capital, and Mr Rupert Mucklow has a beneficial interest in 1,007,445 Ordinary
shares, representing 1.64% of the issued Ordinary share capital.
