AGM statement
Host Europe PLC (formerly Magic Moments Internet PLC) is one of Europe's
leading Internet hosting providers to the SME market.
At the AGM of Host Europe PLC held today, the Chairman, Graham J Duncan, made
the following comments:
"I am pleased to report that trading for the current financial year has
started strongly and is in line with the Board's expectations. In conjunction
with our aggressive product development strategy, the Group continues to focus
on reducing the level of overheads relative to sales.
"As at the end of April 2001, Host Europe have registered over 160,000 domain
names compared to 76,000 as at the end of December 2000. The number of shared
server hosting accounts totalled 45,000 compared to 31,000 in December and the
number of dedicated and co-located servers hosted by the Group increased to
1,900, from 1,200. Furthermore, Host Europe now boasts over 27,000 customers
compared to 18,000 at year end.
"These impressive figures represent a substantial increase during the first
four months of 2001, and are a result of our successful German acquisition as
well as the Group's continued commitment to introduce innovative, industry
leading products and services with a view to accelerating our objective to
become Europe's leading Internet hosting provider to SME's.
"Moreover, substantially all of our revenues are recurring in nature, and we
are seeing an increasing share of our revenues coming from higher value,
higher margin products as we continue to focus on increasing revenues per
customer, as well as acquiring profitable new customers.
"The outlook remains positive for the Group. The Board are committed to a path
of aggressive growth and look forward to another successful year."
