SHORE CAPITAL APPOINTS SENIOR ADVISER IN ITS
ASSET MANAGEMENT BUSINESS
Shore Capital, manager of the Puma range of VCTs, announces the appointment of Christian Yates as Senior Adviser within its asset management business. Until recently Christian was a Partner at specialist cleantech investment manager Hazel Capital where he helped establish a renewable energy infrastructure business and launch several funds investing in both public and private equity. He remains a Director of the Hazel Renewable Energy VCT 2 plc.
With over 20 years experience in the fund management industry, Christian has previously held senior positions at Bear Stearns, Julius Baer Group, Chase Asset Management and Lazard Asset Management. He is an active investor in the field of renewable energy and is a director of, and investor in, a developer of large-scale biomass power plants in the UK.

In 2011, Shore Capital's Puma Venture Capital Trusts were the first planned exit VCTs to have returned to shareholders 100p in cash, equivalent to a 66% total return tax free. Launched in 2005, the five year limited life Puma VCT plc and Puma VCT II plc raised over GBP19m. Shore Capital's latest offering, Puma VCT 8 plc, will close on 5 April 2012.
