ATLANTA, June 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Del Webb communities are among the country's 50 best master planned communities for boomers as selected by Where to Retire Magazine. Del Webb has four communities on the list this year, and has been recognized 58 times in the nine years the biennial list has been issued by the publication.

Where to Retire reveals "The Short List: 50 Best Master-Planned Communities in the United States," in its newly released July/August issue. Del Webb communities on the list are: Sun City Anthem at Merrill Ranch and Sun City Festival in Arizona; Stone Creek by Del Webb in Florida; and Sun City Peachtree by Del Webb In Georgia.

"We are honored that Del Webb communities across the nation have been recognized - more times than any other builder - as the best places to live for boomers," said Manish Shrivastava, chief marketing officer for PulteGroup Inc., parent company of Del Webb. "Del Webb has built its success on knowledge of our customers, and delivering unmatched lifestyle and superior quality homes to still-working and retired boomers."

This year's list includes communities in 16 states that feature an array of amenities and lifestyle offerings, said Where to Retire Editor Annette Fuller. She said the list is unique because it focuses on specific communities rather than locales and features first-person testimonials by residents.

"For these retirees, the perks of master-planned living are much more than the comfortable or inventive housing options, and more than just a busy day of activities," Fuller said. "By participating in all that the community has to offer, they are finding like-minded people, building new lifestyles and establishing friendships, often with an unexpected ease."

She said Where to Retire editors began gathering and evaluating information about a year ago on more than 100 communities across the nation. The chosen communities are not ranked, but rather profiled in alphabetical order by state. Also, a two-page chart gives a snapshot of all 50 choices and a guide to their amenities.
