STOCKHOLM--Insulin maker Novo Nordisk A/S (NOVO-B.KO) Friday said it has been served with a subpoena by a U.S. Attorney requesting documents regarding potential manufacturing issues within its Danish production units.

The Danish company said the subpoena was filed by the the US Attorney for the District of Massachusetts and related to its manufacturing in Kalundborg, Denmark.

The company added that it is cooperating with the attorney in the investigation and that it can't predict the outcome of the matter or assess its possible consequences.
