National accounts, 2nd quarter 2014:
Sweden's GDP increased 2.6 percent in second quarter 2014
Sweden's GDP increased 2.6 percent in the second quarter 2014,
working-day adjusted and compared with the second quarter of 2013.
GDP increased 0.7 percent, seasonally adjusted and compared with
the first quarter of 2014.
Household consumption expenditures increased by 3.2 percent
non-adjusted, and general government consumption expenditures
increased by 0.8 percent non-adjusted. Changes in inventories
contributed 0.3 percentage points to GDP growth. Gross fixed
capital formation increased by 3.7 percent. Exports grew by 1.5
percent and imports increased by 3.7 percent. Market production of
goods and services increased by 3.1 percent, working-day adjusted.
Production of goods rose by 3.3 percent and service-producing
industries grew by 3.1 percent. Employment measured as the total
number of hours worked grew by 0.8 percent, and the number of
persons employed increased by 1.3 percent.
Compared with the publication in July 2014, GDP growth has been
revised upwards 0.7 percentage points for the second quarter 2014,
and revised downwards by 0.2 percentage points for the first
quarter of 2014.
This publication is in accordance with the updated ESA 2010
regulation.
