Bolivia Government Takes Over Glencore Mine -Reuters

The Bolivian government has taken over Glencore International PLC's (GLEN.LN) tin and zinc mine in Colquiri, Reuters reported Wednesday.

Local press reports last week indicated the goverment was considering such a move.

According to a government decree signed Wednesday, Bolivia will compensate Glencore's local subsidiary, Sinchi Wayra, only for its equipment and goods there, minus any debt, Reuters said.

Bolivian state mining company Comibol will have control over the mine, Reuters reported.

Sinchi Wayra officials declined to comment, according to Reuters.
