Le gouvernement britannique a annoncé mercredi qu'il allait vendre une nouvelle portion de sa participation dans la banque Lloyds Banking Group (LLOY.LN) d'ici à la fin du mois de juin de l'année prochaine.
Morgan Stanley (MS) a été mandaté par le gouvernement britannique pour vendre ces actions à un prix supérieur au prix moyen payé par les contribuables pour sauver la banque pendant la crise financière.
Le gouvernement détient actuellement une participation de 25% dans Lloyds. Le nombre d'actions qui seront vendues dans le cadre de ce projet dépendra de la performance du cours de Bourse de la banque d'ici à fin juin. Il n'existe pas d'objectif définitif, mais Morgan Stanley a comme instruction de ne pas vendre plus de 15% du volume de l'ensemble des actions Lloyds négociées sur le marché.
