About 15 years ago in a moment of madness, I signed up to a betting tipster service. Lost what was for me at the time quite a bit of dosh. Never again.

That's rather my view, although they seem to operate either (1) as a paying 'tipping' service or (2) where you dump (min) £1500 with them and they 'manage' your account. It all seems to turn on laying bets at betting exchanges on horses.

Anyone who really did have a system delivering 11% a month consistently wouldn't have to make money selling such a system.

I keep getting publicity material for "the bismark" - www.consistentreturns.com - making great claims for its performance.

Has anyone tried it, and if so, does it do what they allege (tax free profits of circa 11% per month).

? They are still advertising here on ADVFN. Sounds perfectly plausible - but then it would, wouldn't it? :-) Anyone using them or used them? I am interested in a managed account for a few months and see how it goes.

Happy New Year to you all. David

BBBA, not heard anything about them but in my opinion almost all tippers are crooks. There are the very rare exceptions to this though.
