25/4/2024 16:13 | Hi Claire. It's more the point that something has changed at Titon and previous to the presentation in January there hadn't been any before. It's a postive move. As you say "the Deputy Chair has never done the presentations" kind of underlines the point of the upgrade in communication. The reason I use 'family' is quite simply following what you pointed out previously, the sheer number of connected shareholders that are connected by either blood or marriage. Also as has been aluded to, the members of the family are just like any other complete with their schisms and thus the tensions that unfortunately brings to a PLC which is less fortunate. | argylerich
25/4/2024 13:53 | Good morning Mr Argyle! Of course, the Deputy Chair has never done the presentations. And I am curious as to why you always put the family in inverted commas when we are actually…..fam | claireritchie
25/4/2024 10:34 | An investor presentation!! Without the Deputy Chair..... | argylerich

17/4/2024 15:20 | The 'family' keep selling, Harwood keep buying... there won't be enough votes left to keep Tyson in a job next year! | argylerich

01/2/2024 14:27 | Just noticed the FY results slipped out last week, with the words challenging , difficult and loss to the forefront. As expected really from the TU surprised the market has not hammered them further, though probably too small to be noticed. And unusually the commentary from the CFO not the CEO , wonder why that might be... | wad collector
24/1/2024 21:08 | Couple of Buys at 90p today has pushed share price to an 18 month high. About time... | wad collector
04/12/2023 17:37 | 28 yrs ago, and again 5 years ago. Today's TU is rather mixed, cash up , Europe recovering but Korea down . Surprised wasn't more down today, but maybe the bad news wasn't news. | wad collector
30/11/2023 16:45 | Is my memory playing tricks or could I really have sold out of this company about 20 years ago at 140p? | sleepy
30/11/2023 15:13 | IHT don't speculate in a (nother) news vacuum, you'll have Claire Richie back on here reminding how many shares are still in 'the family' ;-) IMHO it all smells like 'joint' decision making with Rockwood which bodes better long term. Short term expect a full kitchen sink exercise and the first real test against 'family' interests is to stop paying out another unwarranted divi while taking the company into debt! | argylerich
30/11/2023 14:31 | Thanks Wad Collector – and if facts are not absolutely essential – let us indulge ourselves a little more… A week ago Titon announced the appointment of a new CEO for April. Yesterday the chairman departs without warning. In a few days there will be a trading update. Any sensible outfit in control of its destiny would have tied these events into one coherent set of shareholder/market comms, but no, not Titon. Did Titon with its ‘family company’ mentality fail to consult Rockwood on the appointment of the new CEO and did Rockwood let it be known that the appointment of someone with no industry or recent UK experience, after a 7 month search, tells them that few candidates fancy the challenge? Alternatively, or perhaps both, were Rockwood made insiders to a lousy imminent trading update? Either way, Rockwood turn activist, tell Ritchie they have no confidence in him, and put their man on the board to ensure order. Looks like a well-executed firing to me. Unless Rockwood like the incoming CEO, and he fancies the regime change, do not be surprised at an announcement that he is not coming after all. In the meanwhile, thank you Rockwood for the bounce in the share price. | ihtplanner
