LONDON (AFX) - Eliza Tinsley Group PLC said it is unlikely to meet fully the
current market expectations for the year to end March 2005.
At its Consumer Products Division, it has seen a short-term reduction in
demand as retailers cut inventory levels amid a slowdown in the UK retail
sector.
"Whilst there are signs of the overall trend reversing within this business,
the short-term impact will not be mitigated in the current financial year," it
said.
However, the newly acquired MH Berlyn business has bucked the downturn in
consumer spending and delivered a solid trading performance, it said, with the
business seeing an increase in demand for its greenhouse heating range following
the recent cold weather snap.
