Nice surprise. Doubled my money here and sold. Incredible lack of bb activity on this share, largely down to mgmt inertia and presumably not too many PIs. Mgmt no doubt will have done well from this and no doubt keeping all the great news till this is a done deal but I am happy for one. Just shows how undervalued tech companies are in London when suddenly the market can put a cap on its value double what it was a few days prior-with no 'apparent' change in it's circumstances. Hold loads of shares in companies like BVC, VEC, Fab etc which I feel (and hope) are in a similar position but not sure why tech companies actually bother to list here.

Quite understand your pov faz, it's been a serial disappointer. However I've decided to hang on; this could be the game changer. If the convenience of the card or cassette test gives it the edge then we are talking millions of tests and the margin must be £2 or £3 per test dropping through to the bottom line.
Must go and lie down, that mushroom soup was stronger than I thought.

Because this share is so hard to sell I have used today's rise (and some patience) to rid myself of my holding.

Let's see, this is the only UK company that offers Lateral flow antigen test. Testing will still be needed for a long time, especially of this type that doesn't need machines. It's all about sales, and who doesn't want a 15min test, especially for travellers and sports fans and players. Very cheap atm imo. No more waiting and self-isolation.

The kits are not theirs. Looks like they're acting as a non-exclusive distributor.

All these kits will be history once the vaccines roll out, not an investment here imo

Well very surprised ...

Now they need to sell them now.. All very well building the car .. you have to sell it now. and you have to sell loads.

That always seems to be the issue with this company.

always the way ...

The winner these days is a always a whale.

which is the better investment:-

Amazon or Dixons Carphone?

Novacyt with a gazillion COVID test kits sold or IDH with a paltry £400,000 worth?

Not difficult to spot the winner

And the loser

It's the equivalent of a Barcelona scout watching Messi, Ronaldo and De Bruyne play at the age of 15 and deciding he doesn't want any of them. Novacyte, Avacta, Omega - doh!

They had years and years to do it. To consolidate the industry. Cash available. Inside knowledge of the sector. What the frick have they been doing all these years??!!

The most ridiculous thing is this management team have sat on £30m cash while companies like Novacyte and Avacta were trading at tiny market values. Where was the foresight to recognise the undervaluation of these technologies? Why didn't they consolidate their sector when they had the cash and these technologies were on "sitting duck" valuations? Dreadful. And then there's the Friday afternoon RNS timing..... amateur.

The problem is their covid test is clearly not selling While Novacyt test kits are going gangbusters. Donkey Versus racehorse.

The net result You are backing Blackberry here as opposed Apple.

Another thing .. The timing of the update quite shocking in my view.

Am Out.

Sitting with close to 25 mill in cash and a rapid covid test in the making this could move up rapid as small free float iam in.

Just bought in here-with cash cushion, small mrkt cap by Covid standards for diagnostic companies and an expected bad half due to Covid should be upside from here, esp if any of their Covid stuff sells.
