20/4/2024 06:18 | Big fall in Supermicro of 20% which if Herald are still fully invested in could have knocked about 30p off the NAV | amt
08/3/2024 16:19 | Nice to see hri move to 6.9% of kromek. Will upset the bb as the collective genii are convinced it's worthless. Fortunately they spend more time writing than thinking! | slicethepie
06/3/2024 05:24 | Sorry Apple yes I meant they own nearly 10% of Bango which is at rock bottom buy insignificant in their portfolio. Super Micro ended up a bit despite big US sell off so maybe support the price a bit today | amt
27/2/2024 11:40 | From the NAV development, I think they did sell a chunk on the 15th/16th, but obviously there are an awful lot of other (small) moving parts. | apple53
27/2/2024 11:30 | You may be right about them not buying back what they sold, but some trusts are more nimble than others, and if their target holding for their favourite stock is, say, 5% of NAV.... And I do think there would have been pressure to sell some quite quickly if the holding hit, say, 9%. You surprised me with Bango but then I realised you meant 10% 'OF' rather than 'IN'! Interesting - I'd not heard of it. Thanks for the lead. | apple53
22/2/2024 20:39 | I am sure they wouldn't buy back if they sold some. I expect they will take profits now and again. I see they have nearly 10% in Bango which is my best hope of making a big return. They have had a blip but I wonder if Herald will step in and buy a few more at a bargain price. | amt
22/2/2024 20:24 | SMCI up another 10% since uk close. Key question is how much did they sell on the last spike, and even did they have guts to buy some back when down a third within a few days. I noticed on the initial doubling from end Nov to end Jan they had sold about 20% of their position. They probably don't like any stock having a near 10% weighting given normal holding size. | apple53
22/2/2024 20:13 | Super Micro ended up over 30% so should go through 2,100 tomorrow. What a fabulous IT this is when UK shares in general are doing so badly. I wish I had put all my money in it and not bothered investing in individual shares. | amt
22/2/2024 15:56 | Results out as well. The chairmans report makes a good read. | robsy2
22/2/2024 15:37 | SuperMicro up 20% today, must be worth 40p on the NAV | amt
19/2/2024 11:45 | Saba Capital buying some more. | mozy123
16/2/2024 07:32 | SM up another 14% incredible. Up ten fold in a year. Well done Herald for spotting this. What a great IT this is. No other like it | amt
15/2/2024 18:08 | Super Micro up another 10% or about 16p added to NAV | amt
15/2/2024 16:37 | Still sitting at large discount to NAV though. | beangrinder
15/2/2024 08:49 | Super Micro computer their largest holding trebled since start of year and will be nearly 10% of nav now unless they offloaded. They have a stake in Bango which is recovering after an unjustified sell off. | amt
09/2/2024 17:44 | Very strong run since Nov, now up 25% + and at a 2 year high. Very encouraging. | robsy2
25/1/2024 15:28 | Have recently started accumulating | quepassa
06/1/2024 14:35 | I've been holding this one for years, since about £4 and continue to drip a bit in monthly. My opinion is, not only do we have the tech / AI growth but also the big players will look to buy smaller IT companies to get hold of tech and patents. Long-term I believe this will continue to pay off. | bitgold
17/12/2023 10:15 | Apparently a low life arb has taken a position here, sad little people who have never helped a business, unlike hri who have been a lifeblood to many early stage businesses. | slicethepie
12/12/2023 12:18 | Todays approach at smart space software at a 130% premium shows the value in small software businesses ....Hri owns lots of these companies. Well worth a punt imo | slicethepie
22/6/2023 09:42 | about 17% discount to NAV and presumably some unquoted investments or market thinks it is warranted at this bearish time with rising interest rates . Chart suggests more downside sadly | arja
16/6/2023 12:15 | Still here! Would have thought there would be more interest in the trust with all the tech narratives currently about in the market. | mozy123 |
