Tony Milbourn (Managing Director) said :

"We estimate our technology footprint - the percentage of handsets built around the TTPCom architecture - in the last 6 months to be 8% of the 3GSM (GSM+W-CDMA) market. It is our intention to grow this to 20%. At the current levels of penetration we already have the technological power and influence of a top-tier manufacturer. If we achieve our target, our technology footprint would make us number 2 in terms of handsets sold using our technology".

"We are an important player at the heart of the wireless revolution; we intend to dominate the supply of the core cellular engine within 3GSM over the next 5 years building on our unique business model and the market leading position that we have in GPRS and EDGE".

"Our position at the heart of the wireless revolution and the robustness of our technology and business model gives me confidence that we can continue to grow substantially in the years ahead”.

                                          AFX : 31st January 2005.

TTP Communications PLC and ARM Holdings PLC have announced a collaboration to design and develop the next generation of 3G Intellectual Property platforms.
In a joint statement, the companies said the platform will incorporate ARM processors and TTPCom Cellular Baseband Engine technology and significantly reduce engineering effort and time-to-market for semiconductor vendors developing 3G system-on-chip solutions.
TTPCom will distribute the combination of an ARM technology-based subsystem and TTPCom's multimode 3G baseband to semiconductor manufacturers.
ARM will be responsible for licensing the processor core to its silicon partners whilst TTPCom will license the Cellular Baseband Engine technology.
The first of these platforms will be the CBEmacro 3G, a multimode cellular baseband engine, which provides a complete communications sub-system for GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA and HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access).

"The winning combination of our 3G technology and ARM leading-edge processors
will enable silicon Partners to bring high-performance 3G baseband semiconductor solutions to the mass market".
