The massive bed factory Norlan opposite airsprung is closing down with loads of redundantcies about 200, and on the same day the workforce was told it was closing down, 14 lorries transported stock from the site, i have alot of friends that lost there jobs, but maybe this will give alot of work to airsprung now, the buyers of airspung looks like they could have bought the company just at the right time.

Without them he cannot get the 90% which is what he would need to have to force all the shares to be sold.Odd that the directors have not yet come out with either a plan b to fight or a statement to the shareholders accepting the offer, whats even more strange is that there have been little or no sales which tell me that there could be a better deal coming, all pure speculation.

Can you see the offer going up?

I can't - when he has such a large stake the deal looks done imo.

Nice if he does pay more but what leverage does the board have to get him to?

Sorry Lady Liz but you is wrong - go back up the thread and have a look. Was it Elmfield who dumped 120k at 6p or was that higher? Someone dumped a load at 6p and I bought a chunk - it' up there on the thread. And my original buy here was in the low 10's. Not my greatest investment but I've done alright.

I used to be in here with a sizeable holding but sold out to take a goodish profit. Have kept it on my checklist and agree totally with CR that this is a steal at 27p.
I disagree though that the value of the property held can be valued as high as £12m, which seems fanciful especially in the current market.

Lots of good companies currently going on the cheap and this looks like being one of them!

There is no way on this earth that that property is worth £12m,I have seen the site also remember loads of it has been cashed in over the last few years,if the management could of pushed the value of this property up I am certain they would have

Agree Elmfield.

Can't see what leverage the board have to stop Perloff's bid going through at 27p, he has such a large stake.

Property assets are worth about £12m+ in reality, not been revalued for about 20 years.

At 27p I've done alright seeing I got a lot at 6p two years ago but that isn't the point.

Still as someone said to m today I ccan probably invest the cash elsewhere and get a more exciting return with the market so low at the moment.

I reckon the share price would rocket, they borrowed money to buy a company that does not seem to be doing well, they cant even sort out the upholstery company that used to make money in Chorley so all a bit flaky if you ask me,as usual just my opinion

I think they may and try and squeeze a few more pennies out of the deal, but I would be surprised if there is counteroffer from the management. Also, as the recently announced figures have testified, they are not in a position to promise a golden future to us shareholders.

I wonder what would happen if the management all threatened to walk out on the business.

I think that the purchasor has been waiting for these figures so that the position and options of all other shareholders is seriously weakened. IMO
