I have also received a dividend. Hadn't got a clue who this Content Ventures Ltd was until I just checked. Not bad to receive a divi more than i got from Apace plc

Just received a dividend cheque from content ventures aka apace - whats all that about then - anyone else had a divvy?
Apace are the company who sent documents and I had to pay the post office cos they hadn't put enough postage on the envelope....what a shower.

Glad it paid off not selling in the market.
Takes real nerve to hang on.

I have, perhaps foolishly, persevered with my enquiries with the supremely incompetent Bob Diamond's money-box outfit aka Barclays Stockbrokers. After hearing many promises of sorting it out I just got some sort of answer.

It appears that "the money will reach your account in about 2 weeks time". The guy who eventually doggedly persevered on my behalf got this answer from the relevant dept but he could not give me more details nor did he understand the import of what he had told me.

I deduce that the deal has therefore gone through at 3p. I accept no responsibility for this 'information' but I pass it on in good faith........

Barclays administration is appalling and smug. If you complain they promise they will resolve it by a certain date, but they never do, and the complaint just disappears into limbo. All their errors are uncannily in their favour....

You had better luck than I. Phoned Barclays last Thursday and was told they would come back Friday or Monday, to date, zilch.

I spoke again just now to Barclays. They've heard nothing, it appears. They'll be querying the potential buyer "within the next few days" as to what's happening.

I phoned Barclays today to ask for a progress report. They said they knew nothing and thought they might hear something by the end of next week.....

Being "OBTUCE" (I hope that is the correct spelling)
I have held on to my shares.

There is a big ? on whether the deal will go through. Lets hope that " some slimy prat will be making a killing here" is Stroessel. Is Stroessel buying us out or will he sell his 60+% to someone else.
I'll be more than happy to let everyone know that the deal has gone through.

Offer closed today. It would be nice, anyone, if you were to post here when you hear anything. I can't hold my breath enough for bloody Barclays.

Yes I did say I would accept. It was a close call, though. It's more than likely that some slimy prat will make a killing here, but I don't know enough about what's going on to take a considered punt.

humphbumph and mam fach

are you taking up the offer of 3p.

3p is better than nothing.
There is always a BUT why would they want to buy your shares.
It does make you think they are worth far more than 3p.
I suppose it all depends on the price you paid originally.

Sounds interesting, howie. Did Barclays approach you unsolicited or did you ask them for a quote?

I'm with Barclays but I think they are a disreputable shower of sh*t and I've told them so. They may not feel they want to pass on any news to me.

I'm glad for your sake anyway!

Big news? Just received an offer via Barclays of 3p per share. With a catch i.e. 3p not guaranteed, minimum acceptance level not be met or if the investor is no longer prepared to pay 3p per share. What will Didier do with his 60+% shareholding. I'm selling at 3p lets hope Didier does the same.
