Alan has been promoted from within South Staffordshire Water, where he has worked for around 30 years, much of this time in various senior management roles. Both his competency and integrity are excellent and no finer choice could have been made.
He is respected by staff and management at all levels and is one of the senior managers that has helped make this Company so well managed and profitable for the shareholders over such a sustained timeframe. I'm sure that all who know anything of his work will heartily applaud this appointment.

Does anyone know who Alan Rodgers is ? He was appointed to the Board on 3 November 2004. Normally some biographical details are supplied but this time zilch!

Telegragh questor says sell today. Claim is sum of the parts by Merrill Lynch is 720p.

Looks as though things are going to hot up!!!

By the way Regulatory Asset Value for South Staffs per the financial review on page 18 Annual Report is £161mill against current market cap of £123mill.

To answer my own question from page 49 of the accounts Net Operating Assets, Regulated water supply £132,729,000!!! This would equate to a share price of £66 !!! based on the ADVFN 2 m shares in issue figure from the "Financial" section. However the annual report says 12.7 m shares in issue giving regulated asset value per share of approx £11.

Strong buy IMHO. Or buy Ecofin ECWC which are bound to go up in Sympathy due to their water only holdings, BWG, NWG, ESH.

In possible bid discussion with private equity company. NAV is £14 according to ADVFN. Market CAP is £19m and anuual profit £14m in theory the private equity company could get the business for £5m !!!!!!

How much is it realy worth?
