I did wonder about buying at 10p just as a long term punt and seeing what the masters offered me in years to come.

However I decided against it in the end.

I dont hold, but was aware of the offer, it looks like they will have to complete the project befor making anouther offer, the market currently seems to think if they do it will be way below 30p now.

Eurovision, nice to see a thread header but unfortunately no one interested enough to post. On 3 August 2009 the adjusted NAV was 80.1pps compared with todays share price of 17p. So on the face of it BLD is hugely undervalued. But allow a discount for a small company, property, Eastern Europe, majority of shares held by the Directors who want to take it private then the attractions are rather less. Provisional offer, later withdrawn, to take out investors at 30p seemed pretty mean at the time. Dump the shares and move on, or hold/build and keep fingers crossed that value will out in the end? A difficult decision.

anyone know what happened to this lot? i had a few shares and they still list them in my portfolio at 11p, like they have been since they were suspended.

spose asking about getting any dosh back is a stupid question?

28.10.02 :+0.5, (11) (susp) temporarily suspended from trading on the London Stock Exchange at the request of the company pending clarification of the company's financial position. Michael Gercke and Robert Birchall, of PricewaterhouseCoopers, have been appointed joint administrative receivers of the company. The administrative receivers are continuing to trade the business with a view to achieving a sale of the business and assets as a going concern. Michael Gercke, one of the joint administrative receivers, said: "Baldwins problems stem from an unsuccessful expansion into the US. Receivership provides the opportunity for a sale of the UK business with its modern crane fleet and nationwide depot coverage." Baldwins, which was founded in 1977, is one of the UK's leading crane hire specialists employing approximately 700 people. The company is based in Slough, Berkshire and operates out of a nationwide depot network. Turnover is in excess of £50m per annum.

After alot of rumours throuout the industry, Baldwins have finally come to an end which is not necessarily a terrible thing as it will now make way for other large companies it its sector to monopolise the market in a creditable fashion!

Probably is bad news. Question is what they get for the business and whether it covers the loans. Although there does not have to be much I assume we will see nothing.

Hi

Welcome to what I am starting to believe is going to be a great income maker in the not to distant future. I got involved with CASHEVOLUTION not so long ago and already my team is building nicely.

As I am sure you have already read, it is quite simply a case of getting people to sign up through your website e.g. mine is WWW.VENUS.CASHEVOLUTION.COM and your team building begins. Its that simple. As I explain to everyone else this is a numbers game - the more people you tell of this system, the more that will join.

The easiest way to start is to explain this system to friends and family. These are the people who will obviously trust you most. Then it is a case of letting the rest of the world know. There are numerous free traffic building sites and classified ad sites which I will list in a minute. These will help you get started but the success rate through these sites is limited. So the more you subscribe to the better your chances. Then of course there is good old leafleting. Takes time, but again, costs next to nothing. I have also had car stickers made displaying my website address. Then of course there is newspaper advertising. Almost certainly the most successful form of advertising. But it costs. I am actually about to put an ad into one of my regional papers. I will let you know how successful it was. Another idea is to speak to your local news agent. For a small fee they may be happy to slip on of your leaflets into each of their papers prior to delivery.

I am sure you have now got the jist of what I am trying to say. TELL EVERYONE. So many people are fed up with their work these days, more and more people will be willing to give these ideas a go. Anyway here are those sites I promised:
