14/12/2004 21:59 | Hi bene449 - long time no see since the glory days of Emblaze - what were they called before? GEO? Made us all a bit of money. You were "the man" as far as I recall! What times. Hope you still have most of the cash. These guys are difficult to value but that is not the point. They have a high quality gold prospect that they can put into production early 2005 as Boxxy says. This provides cashflow for other exploration projects. You hope they find the proverbial elephant which makes them a 10-20-50 bagger. But that is getting carried away. The difference is these guys have access to Freeport's exploration database back to the year dot. There will be gems there with massive upside. If it's not obvious I moved away from tech to resources in 2001. Much the best place to be. You should come to some of the Minesite events. See www.minesite.com You are too late for tomorrow's event, but there will be another early in the new year. For an even more undervalued play see African Eagle (AFE). | wassapper
13/12/2004 19:28 | Change of name to Vane Minerals approved at the EGM. New web site http//www.vaneminera | boxxy
12/12/2004 19:26 | In a full year net revenue should be £12m at $2/£ ( $200,000 / month ), taken from Minesite article. It is probably that most of the net margin will be used to develop the prospect at Mina Charay, 300kms to the north in Mexico where the deposit is exposed on the surface for 250m length and in other directions, would probably be an open cast mine and could be brought into production fairly quickly at a low cost per oz produced. The production from the open cast mine would probably be transported to an existing smelter rather than build one on site. Vane are also due to start a 4500m drilling programme in January 2005 at Guadalcazar in the state of San Luis Potosi in Central Mexico where there is a hydrothermal gold system. A solid 2005, but difficult to put a value on, but the net margin before re-investment in exploration will not be a lot less than the £16.4m market cap. Boxxy | boxxy
12/12/2004 10:41 | Thanks for pointing this share out to me. I am always interested in Companies which don't seem to have attracted much attention so far. The market cap at the moment is 16 million. What do you feel is a fair market cap for it today, and if they are compared to their peers? Bene449 www.addicted2shares. | bene449
12/12/2004 10:04 | VHL, a gold and silver explorer in Mexico and Paraguay is due to start production of the high grade ore body at its Diabilito gold mine in Nayarit State, Western Mexico in February 2005. Gold grades up to 33.53 g/t, average 12.13 g/t, and up to 6,250 g/t silver were indicated from the final assay results from the extension drilling at the property. The mine should produce an initial US$200,000 per month with costs estimated at US$135 / t and payback of Vane's capital expenditure will be achieved after 6/7 months. Vane also has acquired a 100% option of a similar project at Mina Charay in Mexico's Sinaloa State, 300 kilometers to the north. Trenching has exposed a natural vein at least 250 metres long indicating values of 9-10 g/t of gold and 125/150 g/t of silver. Vane has obtained an option in Paraguay over 3 blocks in the mineral rich Brazilian Pre-Cambrian Shield that intrudes into Paraguay where sampling has revealed 22 distinct gold anomolies, all of which are of significant size.( taken from Minesite article November 2004. ) There should be a good news flow over the next few months !! | boxxy
12/12/2004 07:32 | Price moving up nicely over last two weeks, getting closer to mining in February. Good article on Minesite | boxxy

14/6/2004 23:52 | New gold mines were the cause of lots of disasters to widows and orphans funds in the 19th century. This one looks like an interesting bet for some spare money. B | balancer |
