Its now a private company, with 20% of the shares out there in the community. Being private, the dynamics of the company have changed. If you are interested in your rights etc... there is a good site on the web that tells you probably everyhting you need to know.

To any PI's who still hold and have not contacted notgonnagetscrewedbycet@yahoo.co.uk
Please make contact and advise the number of shares held.
Collectively we need to hold more than 10% of shares to stop Maymask forcing sale of your shares.

Be very careful here, check that the assets can not be simply sold or transferred to any other holding group leaving you with x% of nothing in CET. I heard this mentioned once before on a similar low buy out share but I do not know the legalities. Once delisted I assume the majority holders can do just as they like.

Take Meldex for example as proof you do not need a majority holding, shares are suspended so two guys (holders but by no means having a majority) walk in off the street and take over the running of the company after ousting the existing board. No AGM, no challenge, no voting, no real explanation of how it was done, but it proves it really does happen !

On face value the guys appear to be doing a good job, but the reality is that a once £200m plus rated company is now worth NIL unless these guys pull off a miracle. You guys have strong links to our old BOD so just make sure you do not need a Miracle also.....

some (?most) brokers accept the offer if it is 'recommended' by the Board, IF you say/do nothing. You have to specifically state that you elect to become a dissenting shareholder.

With HSBC they sent me letters about the offer. It said if I did nothing then the offer would be rejected. If I wanted to accept I had to log on to their website and say so. That's the way it should be, not the other way around.

eb

was that you buying again?

acceptances appear to have really slowwwedd down.

it wouldn't surprise me if most of them were actually 'deafault' accepatnces by brokers for their nominee holdings

I would have thought that clients should give specific agreements before anything is sold on their behalf.

dekal, we had over 34 million.

It would be interesting to see what we hold now. Remember we need at least 22 million.

Gordo1 was key as he held over 10 million alone.

I have just placed an order for another 210,000. Ok it is the price of a few meals out that I may be throwing away but if I can make things difficult for the gangsters it will be well worth the pleasure. Hopefully will be in a position to buy another million later in the week. More hopefully still - nobody will sell them - but clearly that is not the case.
