06/8/2014 20:59 | Nice update from John Lavery, Director of Solid State on the contract win via BRR Media interview. I especially like the part of the interview where he indicates that this contract could continue to grow over the years as more applications are sought... Regards, GHF | glasshalfull

05/8/2014 08:32 | Nice ;o) Remarkable effect on share price. This inking-in was expected, confirming last month's announcement, but now includes the contract value. Share price has doubled in 6 months. Shares go XD tomorrow morning, for a dividend of 5.75p | m.t.glass
05/8/2014 08:28 | Wow! Excellent contract win announced this morning. WHI have upgraded PBT & EPS forecasts as follows:- 2015 +4% 2016 +80% which equates to...£5.15m PBT & 54.5p EPS Congratulations to the SSP team for delivering this monumental contract win. Regards GHF | glasshalfull
16/7/2014 10:34 | I left an order in place overnight to buy at 415p (just above the May high) in case it briefly got dragged back from yesterday's jump. Already have a decent holding, and that would have been just a top-up. No joy with the topping-up but happy to see another rise. | m.t.glass
16/7/2014 08:21 | nice contract win! | dasv

15/7/2014 17:44 | Funny how the quiet threads often correlate to excellent companies & performance ;-) Great statement from SSP today and delighted to have bought into the story 6/7 months ago. WHI consider the "opportunity to be substantial" for Solid State. "Final contract terms are expected to be agreed by 26 July 2014. It is currently anticipated that Solid's Steatite business will be supplying initial products to the MoJ by the year end. Further quantities are then expected to be supplied, based on a minimum contract award for a three year period. The contract is not expected to have a significant impact in the current financial year as most deliveries are expected to take place in FY16 and FY17. We have put our forecasts and target price Under Review (with material upside implications) pending a further announcement and clarity regarding the likely quantum of this agreement. We believe the opportunity to be substantial. We expect a material increase in the share price short term and retain a Buy recommendation." Regards GHF | glasshalfull

23/5/2014 12:56 | I've sold all of my shares recently. Profits this year "in line" so must be near WH Ireland forecast of £2.0m and EPS of 22.2p Don't know why it trades off a P/E of 18. Current forecast for new year = £2.5m profits and 24.2p EPS so it's not as though strong growth is forecast either. Anyway I am happy with a 50%+ gain made over 7 months but will still look out for news in the company. | jeff h
