Nope. They have not applied money to accounts and will not for a 'few more days' definitely not a clearance issue as they are sitting on cleared funds.

Shaker44.
Don't use iweb, but if you want to deal you might have access to it, possibly only withdrawals out that have to wait to show "cleared".

Still waiting at Iweb. Just checked and they say they are within regs, so long as they settle in 10 working days!!!
Meantime they have use of all that cash. I bet that is the only reason. They are slow. Run by accountants who don't give a stuff about customer service. Very shortsighted.

I had letters from HL suggesting that large dollops of cash would be hitting my ISA and SIPP at the end of September

So it looks like the scheme has gone through and the cash should start hitting accounts soon after 2/10.

Thanks for that Speed. Timetable seemed a bit circuitous to establish the date!

Believe the deal is still awaiting EU merger clearance...

Results of Court Meeting and General Meeting -

Completion of the Acquisition remains subject to satisfaction or waiver of the other Conditions set out in the Scheme Document, including receipt of the EU Merger Clearance and the sanction by the Court of the Scheme at the Court Hearing, which is expected to take place in the third quarter of 2019, subject to EU Merger Clearance.

The expected timetable of principal events remains as set out on pages 1 and 2 of the Scheme Document. Telford Homes will give notice of any change(s) by issuing an announcement through a Regulatory Information Service.

According to the Scheme Document the deal will become effective 3 business days after the Court Hearing Date which is currently expected to take place in Q3 i.e. before the end of Sept.

Anyone any idea when this will complete?

After the Court and shareholder meetings I had thought that it would have closed
by now.

I see it was waved through with only 48% of shares being voted. Still, with 45% of all shares being voted in favour it would have been hard to stop it even with a less apathetic register.

zangdook,

Presumably HSBC are buying on somebody else's behalf. Is there anything to prevent the bidder buying in the market?

Nothing prevents the current bidder buying in the market, but if they pay more than the 350p price of their offer, the Takeover Code will require them to increase the price of their offer to the highest price they pay.

Clearly they see value. Makes the BoD look even more dodgy for recommending such a low ball offer. Be interesting to know how big a Golden Hello and Golden Handcuffs they were offered to stick around.

HSBC have now built up a 6.605% stake. Gets even more interesting.

Interesting. Sand Grove Capital management bought 7450653 @350.25 just above bid price bringing their holding to 8450653 11.11%. They often get involved in takeover situations.
