I think signing a £600m deal with France to deal with illegals was reason enough to vote the Tories out. Utter stupidity, even more so, given we borrow billions monthly just to keep the lights on here. We can only hope there are annual reviews built in and back out clauses for underperformance.

Insurance Companies are a bunch of Scammers! Especially Hastings Direct!! In 2022 I had a building insurance cover with them for Home Insurance and the clerk ask if I have a car insurance. I told him Yes! But I am already insured. He told me to give my car details and next year they will give me a quote i.e 2023. In Sept I usually go to the websites to check for better quote for renewal in October. Unfortunately I was admitted twice for heart attacks within 6 weeks. After my first surgery I was discharged after a few hours only to return 3 days later for another serious attack While I was in hospital the first time, i received a text welcoming me to HD Direct and told me they have open an account which i did not sign or agree to. The cost was a SHOCKING 3 times what I paid for my renewal. I rang them and ask who agreed or gave permission to take funds from my account. The clerk told me they did and threaten to report me to the Police etc that I am not insured. I told him dont threaten me because it fraudulent as I did not sign any proposal etc. I took me several weeks upto 3 months on the phone and my bank. I managed to reverse and obtain my refund from my bank. They rang up my bank and they told them I have a double indemity and I have already a new insurance in October and never had any car insurance with HD. I made a complain to the Ombusman as well as my solictors who advise my to relax in view of my recent heart attacks. After months of asking for refund and complain they gave me a refund less cancellation fee. They must realise its illegal and sent a separate cheque for the difference without a apology. The so called Director, Customer Service did not call me as arranged but instead some incompetent member of his staff wrote to tell me my complaint is upheld. Shocking!!! they committed fraud, no apology and now want a refund for overpaying me. I am now sitting on it and teach these crooks I am no push over and my health is more important than their money. A Financial company wrote me letters and I just ignore them. Only to call them back after several weeks to explain what happen and told them what happen and they can sue me and we will let the court decide. They replied and told me they will report to HD and they told me they will not take any further action and its between HD and myself. In the meantime I am enjoying recuperating my health! So DONT TAKE ANY THREATS OR LET THESE INSURANCE COMPANIES BULLY YOU!!!!!!!!
