Good news - from Investors Chronicle

International Energy Group is being targeted by shareholder activists lookin to release value, says the Mail on Sunday. Accordin to the newspaper, the potential value of the gas connection business, Gas Transportation Company, is believed to have attracted investors, including investment trust Ecofin Water & Power Opportunities, which recently raised its stake to 10 per cent. Ecofin invests in utility companies, mainly for their dividend yield, but it also has a successful history of taking stakes in businesses and encouraging corporate change and a return of value to shareholders.

Sell these buy the ECWC capitals IMHO

Currently the dividend is about 8-9% per annum assuming the trust winds up in March 2009 5 years of 8/9% = 40+ % profit. The capitals bought at todays prices circa 75p and assuming a wind up value based on recent RNS £1.61 Net Asset value would give a 100%+ return on ivestment. Without stamp duty or income tax or reinvestment costs, spread etc

ECWC stong buy in IMHO

Excellent yield paid quarterly underlying assets seem to be in relatively safe areas.

Anyone else watching?
