I stand corrected it was so long ago... Its Pierre that screwed us! Hope everyone was able to recover from this ... It took me 6 long years but finally made my goal and was able to retire at the age of 42. Never give up your dreams and goals !

Even if OXS had held strong in Russia, its "assets" would now have zero value and the company nationalised anyway.
The above is the least of the problems caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the hideous crimes against humanity being committed there.

The company is classed as 'dissolved' as far as tax purposes are concerned.

I used the loss to offset against profits on my CGT in my 2020-2021 tax return. All OK'd.

It's nice to see this thread return to life, but I think we have zero chance of ever seeing a penny surely?Even my ii account has these as disappeared now, not even a number of shares with zero value, just blank.

Back to 2015 when the rights to gold line were granted to Russian company instead of the local one.. Definitely some nice sum of money supported the case. It all makes sense now. Jerooy is 2nd largest gold deposit in Kyrgyzstan (after Kumtor) and Alliance Altyn is 7th foreign company to tackle it. All previous attempts failed. Kyrgyz state has no share in the mine and Russian mining company acquired license for Jerooy in 2015. It is valid until 2035.

Hi, just to let you all know of what I believe to be an attempt to further drain your wealth.
I received a call from a "M & A" business wishing to buy my Oxus shares. Their "client was interested in Oxus' licences!!" They already had signed up 41% of the shares, mostly from PI's and needed 10% more, they were offering between £10 and £20 for the shares. Not for all of them - each!! Needless to say I didn't sign the non disclosure agreement nor give them my info.
I have heard of these scams before and after about a month they ask for bank details to put the money in. If you ask for a cheque instead they agree and you never hear from them again and the cheque never arrives.
