The last fund raise was around the .23 mark, right ? Since then the company have provided but positive news but for some reason the share price has dropped below that level. The company have reinforced their findings today and are supported by the funds from Burgundy. Farming out has beenHighlighted plus you have the other assets in play. Surely this is an opportunity not to be missies for those ppl wanting to make some gains. GLA

88 Energy eyes resource upgrade, a farm-out and early production in Alaska

88 Energy Ltd (AIM:88E, ASX:88E, OTC:EEENF) told investors it is now undertaking post flow test studies for the Hickory-1 well, in Alaska, with a view to upgrading estimates of contingent resources.

At the same time, it is to progress commercialisation options for the project.

This will include a farm-out process aimed at bringing in a strategic development partner and a potential early / capital-lite development of the field.

Well testing confirmed oil flows from the USFS and SMD-B reservoirs. Significantly, Hickory was a vertical well and future production wells will be horizontal, so the company expects future volumes will be several multiples higher.

In the Upper SFS (USFS) reservoir, the well tested a 20-foot interval. Production testing yielded a peak flow rate of over 70 barrels of oil per day, with the oil quality measured at 39.9 to 41.4 API, light crude oil.

Testing SMD-B gave a calculated a peak rate of 50 bopd, with 38.5 to 39.5 API light crude oil.

In a previous statement, earlier this week, 88 Energy told investors that ts intended development plan would see the field established using ‘long horizontal wells’ which would deliver production “typically at multiples of between 6 to 12 times higher than vertical wells2.

poor old olive oil she seems particularly keen to highlight the March 31st remaining cash balance which is of course declared in AUD yet she fails to mention that ONLY 20% of the estimated $14.5 million (USD) cost of the work has been PAID TO DATE

on that basis I make that roughly 11.6 million US dollars still to be paid

17.5 million Aussie dollars converts to circa 9.3 million US dollars


I'd say they are a BIT SHORT

88 Energy Ltd (AIM:88E, ASX:88E, OTC:EEENF)'s managing director, Ashley Gilbert, said the discovery group is now 'looking to formalise a farm-out process' to attract strategic partners to develop Project Phoenix on Alaska's North Slope following the success of the Hickory-1 well.

During the first quarter, it demonstrated notable success with the Upper Slope Fan System (USFS) reaching a peak flow rate of over 70 barrels of oil per day. The Shelf Margin Deltaic (SMD) reservoir also showed promising results with a flow rate of approximately 50 barrels per day.

These results are expected to lead to the development of long horizontal wells, which typically yield significantly higher outputs compared with vertical wells. The company plans to seek independent contingent resource declarations based on these positive outcomes.

Ashley Gilbert, managing director, said: "This quarter marks a pivotal moment for 88 Energy with the successful oil flow at Hickory-1, enhancing Project Phoenix's potential. We are now looking to formalise a farm-out process to attract strategic partners for further development."

In addition to Project Phoenix, 88 made progress with its other ventures. The company completed the transfer of a 20% working interest in Namibia's Petroleum Exploration Licence 93 (PEL 93), with seismic acquisitions planned for mid-2024.

Project Leonis, in Alaska, is progressing well, with a prospective resource estimate expected in the first half of 2024 and several parties engaged in the farm-out process.

Project Longhorn, in Texas, also showed steady performance with an average production of 328 barrels of oil equivalent per day in the first quarter and two of the planned five workovers underway, which are projected to conclude under budget.

On the financial front, 88 maintains a strong position with a cash balance of A$17.5 million as of March 31 and no debt.
