We were most definitely robbed - life's not fair. I hope one day those responsible get their comeuppance.

I just received a message from HL to say that the Churchill shares in my SIPP have been dissolved. They no longer show up, so hopefully I can forget the whole sorry saga now. We were robbed, no question about that.

LOL!

I would like to take the opportunity to wish everyone that posted here on the CHL thread a wonderful Xmas, and a healthy and prosperous New Year.

I would not want to think of anyone to be burning in hell. Trying to last out in a sauna for half an hour is bad enough.

Judi,

Agreed, but I still think the odds were against him, after all you can't fight corruption easily when it involves governments and ICSID itself.

I'm not sure what else could have been done personally.

Andy,
Being a decent Guy does not make you a successful PLC CEO!!

judi,

Personally I think the damage was done by the time DQ arrived on the scene. So I don;t think 'negligent' can be applied to him at all, nor naive nor gullible.

I still think he's a decent guy that did his best to resolve a difficult situation, surrounded by corruption.

He was gullible, naive, negligent and also a poor CEO (at best)
He also got turned over by the corrupt officials and greedy Solicitors
Only In my humble opinion of course

Well for most of the time Stephen claimed to talk to him , and didn't have a problem then.

I met him a few times and always fund him open and candid.

I genuinely believe DQ did his level best to save the day here, but came up against a corrupt legal process.

"I found him likeable and honest."

Pretty much the complete opposite to Stephen.

Stephen,

To be fair he did his best for CHL, in my opinion at least.

He worked for free for CHL, and tried to fight a system that favoured the ROI.

I do not begrudge him his new position, I hope he does well with his new company personally, I found him likeable and honest.

David Quinlivan is now head of Ora Banda Mining, based near Kalgoorlie.

Here is a video made recently of him:
