16/11/2023 15:17 | Any of you took my AMTE tip this morning ?? | amaretto1
16/11/2023 14:54 | That and/or owner/management with big skin in the game as opposed to a typical board | williamcooper104
16/11/2023 14:41 | I guess the thing is, is to find another confectionary brand that whoever missed out on Hotel Chocolate, will now go stalking. I can't see Mars having paid that price unless there was another bidder on the prowl. | lefrene
16/11/2023 13:56 | Yes, it's a huge disconnect between the value of HOTC as a standalone company, especially as having more or less saturated its home market and failed at material overseas expansion and the value of it to Mars who will be able to crack the overseas rollout Many FTSE companies are too cheap but despite the whopping premium I don't think HOTC so obviously was | williamcooper104
16/11/2023 12:47 | Wow those who were holding this share never thought someone would pay that amount. Bigger turkey for Xmas, well done holders. | montyhedge
16/11/2023 11:57 | But without inside knowledge it looked like a basket case making huge losses, with expensive retail outlets to carry. As Mars have paid so much for it I can only suppose that there was at least one other party wanting the Brand. As otherwise a bit of patience would have seen it wither on the vine, and it could have been bought out at much lower levels. Those who held can breathe a sigh of relief Christmas has come early! :¬) | lefrene
16/11/2023 11:46 | Really happy for all shareholders here. I spent quite a long time doing a bull and bear case about a yr back on this. Bought the stock but then sold too early. Wish i had kept. | cirlbunting1
16/11/2023 11:03 | Toffeeman, your patience paid off, hopefully a better home for the funds will be found this time around. | clocktower
16/11/2023 10:04 | Looking at Marstons Brewery Asset value looks cheap Very apt name for here Any other ideas about ?? | amaretto1
16/11/2023 09:52 | Somebody knew this was going to happen hence the price creeping up the past couple of months. Or else why buy into a big loss maker? But it does show the value of a 'Brand', if there's an interested party. | lefrene
16/11/2023 09:45 | Toffeeman, Oh dear with inflation you are down, but you knew this already! ;-) | bulltradept
16/11/2023 09:30 | I thought the markets were depressed and then Sopheon, now HOTC - both over 100% premium, which is enjoyable. London needs to do better at valuing niche companies! | sbs
16/11/2023 09:26 | Good luck to holders here-say's more about London's market and how companies are valued, incl how the genius fund managers here haven't a clue and why companies are rushing to exit to the US, than it does about Hotel Choclat. | cumnor
16/11/2023 09:19 | Wish this would happen to MTC well done all | applied1
16/11/2023 09:17 | if i knew how to short i would have done so for sure. Sometimes ignorance is bliss ! | jeanesy
16/11/2023 09:15 | yep now we see why the shares were being bought. Clearly some in the know.. wasnt expecting this.. well done to those who stuck with it !! | jeanesy
16/11/2023 08:46 | Happy days! Well done longs! | chesty1
16/11/2023 08:46 | Hopefully Mars will bring back HOTCs flat 70% dark mint truffles. Used to spend several hundred a year on them but I have not been a customer since they were dropped | sleepy
16/11/2023 08:26 | Congrats all holders ... so sad shorters :) | hooded claw
