Copper just nudging past 4.40 usd per pound. Not far off 10000 per tonne.. just need some news on Touro or main listing to push ATYM higher IMHO.

My read is it's designed to reduce Russia's achieved price rather than restrict supply. Existing exchange stocks aren't included.Still, any tightening has to be a good thing for the copper price.

I'd agree, big part of RNS was Touro, why highlight that if you were not confident of delivering? IMO!

Hopefully this will be the lowest quarterly production update in 2024 and it all gets better from here. Good that we are about to produce lots of solar power and that Elix has now produced first zinc. Still awaiting news from Touro and for the main market listing. Fingers crossed.

For every 1% rise in copper our profit increases about 9%. So in the run from 3.70 to 4.29 our profits would double if maintained. Add in elix recovery improvements and cost savings from solar, and other stuff, and it all looks very encouraging.

and hopefully an increasing divi along the way. Saw something on twitter about Nvidia recommending copper wire is used for shorter runs over fibre. No idea why but can't hurt copper demand, even as the EV revolution is somewhat slower than expected

“However, the country’s tightened grip on copper poses a potential threat to the West’s energy transition.”

"If nothing else, it will mean higher prices."

“The combination of record low copper stocks [globally], our expectation of peak mine supply next year, rapid green demand growth, and low price elasticity of both demand and supply will in our view lead to copper scarcity pricing in 2025,” analysts at Goldman Sachs said in a recent note. "

"Historical precedent suggests prices could surge by 25pc over the next 12 months, its economist said."



Hopefully, the fact that the EU is nett negative copper, which they categorise as a Strategic Raw Material, will focus their minds on granting Tuoro it’s Strategic Project Status. Which, in turn, will grease the wheels of the licensing process.

You are quite correct in stating that, as things stand, Spanish Withholding Tax is not recoverable in an ISA.

I mistakenly believed you to be saying that this was a consequence of moving from AIM to Main Market. Whereas, of course, it has arisen as a consequence of moving the company domicile from Cyprus to Spain.

Apologies for the misunderstanding.

I would say that I returned to this stock 5 weeks ago after a lapse of a couple of years. Am very happy to have done so. Not only for the 20% uplift in the sp, but for all the reasons aired on this board.

It's quite possible that the share price may take a breather at this point but with every prospect of further decent rises in the pipeline.

The Apiarist, I seem to recall debate here when they announced the redomicile to Spain that along with the main listing (not happened yet) Spain would have a withholding tax. That would not be recoverable inside a SIPP or ISA. It's in one of the RNS's or it was in the webcaste they did in answer to a question.

Looks like we could see the back of £4 shortly, main listing / Touro / rising EBITDA / CU increases all look like reasons this is rising consistently.....DYOR
